Lightbox Tutorial: (Added 1/15/2010)

Neastsolar.com implements "lightbox" coding for handling images. On several pages where we believe certain images are important enough to be expanded, you can click on them causing a mini-window to open displaying the expanded picture. Note that not all pictures and pages have this option. To know whether an image is expandable, hover your mouse over the image. If the caption states "click to expand" then it is expandable, otherwise it is not.

On certain pages where all the pictures are expandable, you can scroll through them without having to indiviually open each picture.           To do this, open any picture on the page and use the "Prev" and "Next" buttons to the left and right of the mini-window. The order of the images in the slideshow may not be the same as on the page.      Again, note that some pages simply have one image that is expandable where other pages have all the images expandable.

Refresh The Page (Clear The Cache):


Internet Explorer & Firefox:

While on the page that is giving you problems, hold down the Ctrl key and press F5. This will refresh the current page. Alternatively, you can right-click on a blank space on the problem page and click “Refresh”.

 

Unknown Symbols Appear When Using Firefox:


In Firefox, go to: View->Character Encoding->More Encodings->West European->Western (ISO-8859-1)


Misplaced/Undreadable Text When Using Firefox or Internet Explorer:


In Firefox, Go to Tools>Options>Content and ensure the "Font Size" is set to "16"

In Internet Explorer 8.0. Go to Page>Text Size> and select "Medium"

Browser Plugins:


Certain aspects of our website require Adobe Reader, Java Script and Flash Player , all of which are standard tools in web browsing. If you are having problems, please make sure these applications are installed on your computer.

Compatible:
Firefox, Internet Explorer 6.0 + above, Safari, Chrome, Opera 10.0 

Incompatible:
Opera 9.0 and below


IE 6 users- Certain aspects of the  site may not function properly. Please report these to webmaster@neastsolar.com. It is highly recommended you upgrade to either a new version of Internet Explorer or one of the compatible, free browsers above.
